PL Flying Spur: 2021 Rising Star Show Hunter Champion

Sire - Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN

Powerhouse Eldorado van de Zeshoek meets all the expectations in both sport and breeding. Ridden by Willem Greve, the son of Clinton is currently among the best combinations in The Netherlands, making several Nations Cup appearances last year. In breeding, Eldorado van de Zeshoek is undoubtedly a foundation sire in the making, with already three KWPN approved sons, namely Grandorado TN, Grodino and Highway M TN.

In addition, Eldorado van de Zeshoek’s dam Bijou Orai currently competes at 1.60m level with French rider Olivier Perreau. With the Olympic stallion Clinton as his sire and the highly successful Toulon as dam’s sire, Eldorado’s pedigree is more than outstanding.

At the beginning of 2015, Willem Greve took over the reins of Eldorado van de Zeshoek and immediately won the Grand Prix of Roosendaal. “Eldorado van de Zeshoek has unlimited scope and with his power he can jump all the classes in the world. Thereby he is competitive, so I’m very happy to have him in my stable!”, Willem Greve says about Eldorado van de Zeshoek.

PL Flying Spur- Competition Mount

PL Flying Spur (aka Bentley) is a lovely type. He is very light on his feet, quick and athletic. These traits are prominent in his magnificient sire, Eldorado van de Zeshoek. Bentley has been bought on slowly and now we are reeping the rewards of our patience! Bentley has won his first title and it was such a surreal and proud moment!! He won the 2021 Rising Star Show Hunter Championship at the Tavendale and Partners NZ National Show Jumping and Show Hunter Championships!  He has a lovely temperament, is very sensible and is a delight to have around. More than a breeder could ever ask for!

Dam Lines

Jace Miharo x Dutchboy AEA (x Dutchman AEA).  It is said that Dutchman AEA comes very close to the ideal riding horse. "His head shows character and is full of expression and masculinity. His movement is elastic and floating with a lot of cadence. Jumping he shows a good technique and has great scope over big fences.

Dutchman is one of 31 stallions selected out of 750 to participate in a 100 day performance test in 1988. Dutchman won the Geelong Showjumping Club’s high jump competition in 1993 and has successfully competed in dressage. Winner of the 1998 Coprice Free Jumping Challenge (1.90m)." While Dutchman was a showjumper, Dutchboy II AEA was solely ridden in dressage with excellent results.

1st and 2nd Dam Sire: In New Zealand, the influence of the 'W' line is through the stallion, Wohler II (Wohler x Eger I).  Petticoat Lanes mare Jace Miharo descends from the F/W line through her dam Tuxedo Rose, who is by Wohler II.  Jace Miharo is the dam of the talented Show-jumping mare Cross Your Heart.
