Dam: Zita V (aka Costa 50) is a State Premium Holsteiner mare  by Caretino. Jumping to 1.45m herself before being imported to New Zealand. She is the 3/4 sister to Holsteiner Gelding Casallvano. Video Below is Costa 50 3/4 brother with the fastest  winning round in the Lübzer Championship ridden by Holger Wulschner on Casallvano (Casall x Silvano).  She is direct from Cardento's mare line Stamm 741. Her sire, Caretino is the sire of Casall.

Dam Sire - Caretino

Caretino was one of just seven stallions by Caletto II in Holsteiner breeding. The bay revealed his qualities in the stallion performance test, where he received a jumping index as high as 145 points. He won numerous young jumper classes due to his outstanding jumping technique. At 5 and at 6 years old, Caretino participated in the Bundeschampionate under Thomas Schöning. Bo Kristoffersen got the ride on him a year later and got him started at Grand Prixs and nations cup level. The two of them have 40 placings at S level to their name. Then Caretino went to Ludger Beerbaum's stable. The rider from Riesenbeck placed at Neumünster, Balve, and Wiesbaden with the stallion. After a year, Caretino returned to Holstein to be used for breeding only which soon proved the right decision. Caretino offspring, still much sought after, have earned more than 3 million Euros so far.Just now, the most successful Caretino offspring in competition is Casall la Silla out of a Lavall I dam. Under Rolf-Göran Bengstsson, the bay stallion is rated among the top show jumpers in the world. Moreover, he has also earned himself a stellar reputation as a sire. In 2009, his son Catch It became champion stallion of the Holsteiner approval and sold for a record 450,000 Euro to Denmark. Casall has produced as much as seven stallion sons in Holsteiner breeding and also had the champion mare at the Elmshorn anniversary show in 2008.Caretino sired 37 sons licensed for Holsteiner breeding, 41 daughters have been awarded a state premium, 10 Verband premium. Beyond a doubt, Cristallo has become one of the most outstanding Caretino offspring in competition now. With Richard Spooner, he is among the top American pairs in the show jumping course. America is also the home of Chica's Way, a great international success under Janne Friederike Meyer. Already in his first years as breeding stallion, Caretino had made quite a splash with his offspring. Ballerina won team gold at the European championships in Mannheim under Markus Merschformann, and Charlottenhof‘s Chandra was part of the German team taking home team gold at the European championships in Arnheim under Sören von Rönne. The full siblings Crocodile Dandy and Connally (Alison Firestone and Markus Renzel, respectively), Carefina (Felix Hassmann), Carlo Cassini (Franz-Josef Dahlmann), Cornwall (Andreas Ripke) or Chianti La Silla (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson) are other highly successful horses by Caretino.
