PL Grandiose received a merit award as a yearling during the NZWB assessment tour 2023

Sire: Grandorado TN

All eyes are on Grandorado TN, being one of the greatest talents of the G-year of the KWPN. In the KWPN Performance Test the son of Eldorado van de Zeshoek earned 85.5 points and he was already described as a phenomenon. Top-level rider Willem Greve discovered many world-class horses in his career and bought a share of Grandorado too.

“He is  a true natural. He is a rough diamond with all the potential, in my opinion”, Willem Greve states about Grandorado.

His unlimited scope and power, Grandorado inherited from his sire Eldorado van de Zeshoek, a son of Clinton which jumps at the highest level with Willem Greve. Dam Charmieque also jumped at 1.40m level with Willem Greve, after she scored 83 points in a mare performance test of the KWPN. Grandsire Carolus II jumped at Grand Prix level with both Thomas Voss and Schuyler Riley and has produced many international jumpers. Great-grandsire Baloubet du Rouet is also of top-class level, being a top sire and winner of three World Cup Finals and Olympic gold with Rodrigo Pessoa.

Grandorado was not only the champion of the KWPN Performance Test, but also won  the finals of the kwpn stallion competitions in 2016 and 2017! He also became second in the Stallion Competition in both Kronenberg and Zuidbroek.

Dam Sire: I'm Special de Muze

Dam Sire - I'm Special de Muze

In every way, I’m Special de Muze is unique. First of all his pedigree: sire Emerald has had countless victories with Harrie Smolders, including the World Cup of Washington in 2015, the Nations Cup of Falsterbo in 2015 and the Nations Cup of Aachen and Gijon in 2013. As a sire, the son of Diamant de Semilly x Carthago also does a great job; his oldest offspring compete already at 1.45m level. I’m Special Muze’s dam Walnut de Muze has also won a lot all over the world, ridden by Harrie Smolders. Just think of Grand Prix and Nations Cup wins in Madrid, Dublin, Doha, Wellington, Mechelen and Calgary. Ridden by Christophe Barbeau, Granddam Qerly Chin jumped the World Cup final in Milan and was reserve for the Olympic Games in Athens 2004. Afterwards, Qerly Chin turned out one of the best broodmares ever to be in Belgium.

Rider Zoï Snels confirms the great qualities of I’m Special de Muze. “I think he has a 100% score on every aspect: he is top careful, has scope, has a great rideability and has a super attitude. If he continues to develop like this, he is a horse for the future!” In 2013, I’m Special Muze jumped clear in all six rounds of the Belgian Pavo Stallion Competition, in 2015 he won the GMB Competition for six- and seven-year-olds in Drachten and in the same year he won the Showjumping Stallions Class at Indoor Brabant.

Sire: Grandorado TN

Grand Sire: Eldorado van de Zeshoek

Powerhouse Eldorado van de Zeshoek meets all the expectations in both sport and breeding. Ridden by Willem Greve, the son of Clinton is currently among the best combinations in The Netherlands, making several Nations Cup appearances last year. In breeding, Eldorado van de Zeshoek is undoubtedly a foundation sire in the making, with already three KWPN approved sons, namely Grandorado TN, Grodino and Highway M TN.

In addition, Eldorado van de Zeshoek’s dam Bijou Orai currently competes at 1.60m level with French rider Olivier Perreau. With the Olympic stallion Clinton as his sire and the highly successful Toulon as dam’s sire, Eldorado’s pedigree is more than outstanding.

At the beginning of 2015, Willem Greve took over the reins of Eldorado van de Zeshoek and immediately won the Grand Prix of Roosendaal. “Eldorado van de Zeshoek has unlimited scope and with his power he can jump all the classes in the world. Thereby he is competitive, so I’m very happy to have him in my stable!”, Willem Greve says about Eldorado van de Zeshoek.

Canturano is approved by the KWPN and was described as a stallion that is very careful and shows a tremendous amount of scope. He was assessed with a score of 9 for his scope and 8.5 for his natural ability as a showjumper.

During the stallion competitions 2007-2008 Canturano was rewarded with high scores for the jumping elements time after time and was described as a stallion with very fast reflexes, tremendous scope and body technique over the fences.
