Sire - Salvador C
Salvador C is owned by Vicki Pendergast. He is by the mighty Carrera VDL out of Sofee.
Sofee is by Powerfee out of Sanderstson. Powerfee with Harrie Smolders, beat Olympic Gold Medalist and World No.1 show-jumper Hello Sanctos and Scott Brash to win that Big Tour in Doha. He was one of the show-jumping world's longest and most successful performers, who epitomises resilience and durabilty. At 18 years old he retired sound.
Sanderson represented Brazil in the Olympics and who went on to leave multiple GP and WC winners.
Vicki's sensational WC mare Selena C is also out of Sofee.
Sire Grandsire - Carrera VDL
Carrera is a striking and interestingly bred horse from a combination of two Olympic stallions.
Sire, Cardento, won three Silver medals under Peter Eriksson at the Olympics, the World Championship and the European Championship. As a sire Cardento is a producer of international jumping offspring who participate at European and World Championships and the Olympic Games.
Grand sire, Baloubet du Rouet, was Olympic Champion with Rodrigo Pessoa; a three-time winner of World Cup Finals; and also claimed the winner’s sash in several GP’s and World Cup Qualifiers. Baloubet du Rouet is also famous as the sire of VDL Bubalu, Palloubet d’Halong and Chaman among others. Continuing in the line is Nurzeus, a stallion that sired many good jumpers such as Midnight Madness, Zippo, Ennio, etc.
Carrera’s dam is an international 1.45m jumper, and is a half-sister to the famous international jumper stallion Tinka’s Boy, winner of many GP’s and World Cup Qualifiers plus the final with Markus Fuchs.
Carrera shone under Jur Vrieling with whom he was successful at the highest level. Carrera started strong with the winning of the Grand Prix Vestfold. Before he won the Grand Prix of Wolden, a 1.50m class in Bonheiden and in Oldenburg. With the Dutch team Carrera won the Nations Cup in Drammen. Carrera unfortunately had to end his career prematurely due to an injury.
Along with his outstanding pedigree, Carrera passes his great jumping qualities on to his offspring. They stand out for the way that they jump – they perform and they are wanted.

Chacco Silver is one of a rare bunch of stallion sons of the famous Chacco Blue who, in 2017 was No 1 Jumping Stallion in the World rankings. He is line bred on both sides to arguably the world's most influential stallion Cor de La Bryere. Before having to be prematurely retired from competition through a stable injury Chacco Silver showed extraordinary athleticism, scope and ability over jumps. He was truly an international jumping prospect.
Stamping Progeny with Quality and Temperament, A beautiful imposing grey stallion, he has wonderful movement and a terrific temperament. He has always been easy to handle and is exceptionally trainable as his progeny are also proving to be.
His oldest progeny are rising 6 and showing all the quality of their sire.
Chacco Silver is a very exciting stallion who is proving himself to be an 'improver'. He seems to strongly stamp his progeny and is proving to sire great quality from all types of mares.
Chacco Silver is introducing wonderful new genetics and type to jumping horse breeding in NZ. He didn't win the 2018 Stallion Classification by accident, scoring over 86% from an experienced German assessor who considered him outstanding and candidly admitted that had the stallion been fit to loose jump higher, he would have scored even higher.
