Liamant W VDL

Liamant W is a son of the top sire Diamant de Semilly. Grandsire Heartbreaker is without a doubt one of the leading stallions of the past decades and is seen as perhaps the best dam’s sire of the moment. Great-grandsire Baloubet du Rouet is the third jumping phenomenon in a row in the pedigree of Liamant W and may be called a true legend.

The dam of Liamant W is Zarina III - a daughter of the Grand Prix jumping mare Untouchable. Untouchable became famous as the dam of Explosion W. Ridden by Ben Maher this Chacco Blue-son is one of world’s finest and last year won the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix-competitions of Doha, Madrid and Rome and became 2nd in Shanghai and Doha

At the age of only three, Liamant W had already made a name for himself on the international stage. At the KWPN Stallion Show in 's-Hertogenbosch, he was one of the most remarkable showjumping stallions and he was honored as 3rd in the champions ring. At the stallion show of Zangersheide in Lanaken, Liamant W  was once again one of the most talked-about stallions and earned his breeding license.

Liamant W is an example of a modern showjumper: blood, light-footed, good reflexes and athletic ability. Both at the KWPN Stallion Show and at Zangersheide he convinced with his consistent and well-balanced way of jumping, always jumping up with the withers and expressing an excellent jumping technique.

Liamant W seems to have everything to follow in the footsteps of his successful uncle Explosion W and jumps now at 1.30m.

Sire - Diamant de Semilly

Diamant de Semilly ridden by Eric Levallois was among world’s best showjumpers. In breeding, Diamant de Semilly produced countless Grand Prix showjumpers, such as Emerald (Harrie Smolders), Don VHP Z (Harrie Smolders), Inca Boy van 't Vianahof (Edwina Tops-Alexander), Utamaro d'Ecaussinnes (William Whitaker & Niels Bruynseels) and many others.

Diamant de Semilly is one of the best stallions to ever come out of France. In 2016, he topped the WBFSH Sire Rankings for the second successive year, cementing his position as the best jumping sire in the world. Diamant is a powerful stallion with a strong back, scope, great balance, wonderful canter, suppleness, uncommon ease and super willingness, coupled with a rideability that he passes on to his offspring.

Diamant was successful immediately as a young horse, qualifying for the French Championships at Fontainebleau as a four-, five-, and six-year-old. His international career was exceptional; team gold at the 2002 World Equestrian Games (and individual ninth), team silver at the 2003 European Championships, and 2002 French Champion. He was selected for the 2004 Olympic Games, but missed out due to injury.

His international results include many wins and placings at grand prix, including: winner of the Pioltello Grand Prix, the St. Lô Grand Prix, and the 1999 Caen Stallion World Championship, third in the Cervia, Normandy, and Auvers grands prix, fourth in the Lummen and Modena Nations Cups, and eighth in the grands prix of Munchen and St. Lô. On his final competition appearance, he won the CSI4* Liege Grand Prix.
